Wales, Snowdonia November 2017, 7:30am-ish. Chris has just parked the car and I’m putting my walking boots on. Rain is gentle and it looks like it’s not going to stop soon. Great. Where is the 80% chance for a cloud-free summit which was promised by the weatherman?

I love how colours are rendered by this slide film, it’s true king of the films for landscape photography.

Northton, Isle of Harris Scotland 2017

Northton Salt Flats under the  Ceapabhal, Taobh Tuath (368m).
Machair at Northton is the finest in Lewis and Harris. Machair is fertile, well-drained grassland formed by sand being blown over the peat. For me, this is a magical place, well worth to visit.
