Wales, Snowdonia November 2017, 7:30am-ish. Chris has just parked the car and I’m putting my walking boots on. Rain is gentle and it looks like it’s not going to stop soon. Great. Where is the 80% chance for a cloud-free summit which was promised by the weatherman?
Northton Salt Flats under the Ceapabhal, Taobh Tuath (368m).
Machair at Northton is the finest in Lewis and Harris. Machair is fertile, well-drained grassland formed by sand being blown over the peat. For me, this is a magical place, well worth to visit.
