At our best and most fortunate we make pictures because of what stands before our camera, to honour what is greater and more interesting than we are. We never accomplish this perfectly, though in return we are given something perfect–a sense of inclusion. Our subject thus redefines us and is part of the biography by which we want to be known.
With the year 2019 gone, it’s time to look back.
Here are a few numbers about last year.
I walked up to Curbar Edge in hope to catch some interesting light that morning. The forecast was optimistic so I walked. Unfortunately light did not happen. Actually, nothing happened that morning.
There was no view, no light and it started to rain. I did only one exposure this morning, this one on Kodak Trix 400.
I like it because of the mood of the shot, it summarizes the feeling that morning…
