Chrome Hill is my favourite place. It’s located on the Derbyshire side of the upper Dove valley in Peak District National Park.

Together with Parkhouse Hill are distinctive and easy recognisable hills in the landscape.

I have been there lots of times, but this time I wanted to see the valley from different perspective. Plan was to go all the way up to High Wheeldon. Popular with walkers, and possessing excellent views of the Dove and Manifold valleys, High Wheeldon is in the care of the National Trust. Walk to High Wheeldon was easy and  short.

Together with my friends Paul and John we enjoyed the view and changing light in the valley. Seriously, even if you not into the photography and you are close by,  stop and take a quick walk up. Its well worth it. View is breathtaking.

Unfortunately we had to go back before sunset. Nevertheless, we did have a very good time and I’m quite pleased with the shots I did there. But there is lots of potential here and I’ll be back there for sure .
