MFPOTW – In the mist ver.3

Not every trip I did had a nice light. This morning at Peak District, there was no light at all. But I took my camera out of my bag anyway.

I’m glad I did, the mist is adding a lot to this shot. When I look at this shot I feel loneliness.

This is the third version, taken in the same location. which one do you prefer?

Here are the previous versions: Ver.1  Ver.2

Do you like to shoot in the mist?

Photographer’s Library: Journeys Into the Wild

The Photography by Peter Dombrovskis, Published by the National Library of Australia 2017

I have plenty of photographic books in my library. I thought, I probably know every world-renowned landscape photographer past and present. One day, I was listening to the podcast with Joe Cornish and he mentioned his two favourite photographers: Paul Wakefield and Peter Dombrovskis. OK, I have heard about Paul Wakefield and already have a book where he contributed his photos to. But Dombrovskis? No, never heard of him.

Dunstanburgh Castle is a 14th-century fortification on the coast of Northumberland in northern England, between the villages of Craster and Embleton. Its location is amazing and I love it there.

Northumberland if of my favourite parts of the UK.

I didn’t want to tell the tree or weed what it was. I wanted it to tell me something and through me express its meaning in nature.
