MFPOTW – In the mist

Early morning shot from Peak District. Unfortunately, there was no light . Instead, I had lots of mist to play with.

Shot on Kodak Ektar100 and with focus softened by mist I’m quite pleased with this one.

Do you like to shoot in the mist?

MFPOTW – Bathing in the morning light (Peak District edition).

Early winter morning at Ramshaw Rocks in beautiful Peak District UK.

The exact moment when whole Ramshaw rocks were bathing in winter sunrise light. I love those moments. The composition is not the greatest but I like the sense of light on this picture. As usual Kodak Ektar 100 did not disappoint.

Have you been at Ramshaw Rocks or The Roaches? What did you like the best?

Eglwys Cwyfan

St Cwyfan’s Church is a Grade II-listed medieval church in Llangadwaladr, Anglesey, Wales. Located on the small tidal island of Cribinau, it is popularly known as the “Church in the Sea” (or Eglwys bach y môr in Welsh). The church dates from the 12th century, with some renovations made in the 19th century.

MEDIUM FORMAT PICTURE OF THE WEEK – Hadrian’s wall

Stretching 73 miles from coast to coast, Hadrian’s Wall was built to guard the wild north-west frontier of the Roman Empire.

This place is amazing and I would love to walk the whole length of it.

Love the colours on this one. There is a reason why Kodak Ektar is my go-to negative stock.

Have you been to Hadrian’s wall? Which place is your favourite?

Rainy day

I walked up to Curbar Edge in hope to catch some interesting light that morning. The forecast was optimistic so I walked. Unfortunately light did not happen. Actually, nothing happened that morning.

There was no view, no light and it started to rain.  I did only one exposure this morning, this one on Kodak Trix 400.

I like it because of the mood of the shot, it summarizes the feeling that morning…

Do you shoot Kodak TRIX?

What’s your favourite B&W film?

Let me know below.
