At 432 square kilometers (167 sq mi), is this the largest island in the Firth of Clyde and the seventh largest Scottish island.

Northton Salt Flats under the  Ceapabhal, Taobh Tuath (368m).
Machair at Northton is the finest in Lewis and Harris. Machair is fertile, well-drained grassland formed by sand being blown over the peat. For me, this is a magical place, well worth to visit.
