Parkhouse Hill from Chrome Hill, Peak District 2017
Early autumn evening in Peak District. Chrome Hill is one of my favourite spots in Peaks. This was one of the evenings when sunset did not happen as expected.I love how Velvia 50 rendered the greens in this picture….
Northton Salt Flats under the Ceapabhal, Taobh Tuath (368m).
Machair at Northton is the finest in Lewis and Harris. Machair is fertile, well-drained grassland formed by sand being blown over the peat. For me, this is a magical place, well worth to visit.
With autumn slowly coming in, season for us landscape photographers started. Over Owler Tor is a short 15 minute walk up the hill from Surprise view, you will pass the Mother Cap rock formation and end up at a rocky outcrop with stunning views all around you. (more…)
Higger Tor is a dominant landmark of the Dark Peak, in the north of the Peak District National Park. It is a gritstone tor overlooking the Burbage Valley and the iron age hill fort of Carl Wark to the southeast.
