A weekend in Lake District

When I was told that there is a possibility to go to the Lake District for a weekend I was super excited. A weekend in Lakes District is something you cannot say not to. We booked Bead & Breakfast and I waited for the date.

Day 1

The weather in November this year was fabulous. With a good forecast, we decided to go and walk up to Place Fell. It is a hill above Ullswater with great views. I carried my Hasselblad 503 CW up the hill with the hope to take some nice shots. The problem with trekking and photography is that usually when I reach the summit, light is not the best. But it’s not always about taking pictures from the summit. I stopped on my way up and took a few shots.

The walk was nice but I was looking forward to the evening. With our B&B right on the shore of Lake Ullswater, I was planning to go and catch the last light. It was challenging but I managed to do a few shots.

Day 2

The next day we did a small walk alongside the lake with nice views. It was nice to just walk and search for compositions. The morning was quite nice but as the day progressed water turned and the day become grey. I still managed to grab a couple of shots.

So how was this weekend in Lake District? AMAZING! This place is so beautiful and if you haven’t been, don’t think about it too much and go. You will not regret it.
